Please note -- materials are not supplied for classes. The class fee covers instruction for the class only. Some classes may require purchase of a book or pattern to participate in the class due to copyright laws. It will be specifically noted if any supplies are provided by the instructor or the shop. Otherwise all materials listed on the supply list will be the student’s responsibility, and available for purchase. Kingston Quilt Shop gives a 10% discount on class supplies to anyone pre-registered for a class, and 10% discount on all items purchased on the day of the class.

“Jazzy Jacket or Vest”: A Sweatshirt Class Love the comfort of sweatshirts, but feel that it's just not classy enough? This class is for you! This is an easy way to cover that sweatshirt with strips of fabrics from your stash or from fat 1/4s that you love but don't know what to do with, or just some really "fun" fabrics to create something outside the box! Join the Crazy Stitch'n Red Heads for a full day of fun! Class is scheduled for Saturday Mar. 20, 10-4:30 Class fee $45.00

“Wave of Wild Flowers” Class Ann Jones will be the instructor for this class. The pattern is taken from the book “Layered Waves, A Fresh New Way to Quilt” by Karen Eckmeier. With her easy layer & topstitching technique, you’ll be adding graceful curves and dramatic angles to all your quilt projects! which will be held on: Saturday, March 27, 10 am to 4:00 pm. Class fee is $45, and book is required for class
This is a ‘beginner friendly’ class.

Beginner’s Quilting Class Cindy Jandt will be teaching this class. You will learn quilting basics, and create the lovely “Warm Wishes” quilt in the process. Class is scheduled for Saturday April 10, from 10 to 2:00 pm.

Ruby Cube: You won’t believe how exciting it is, to watch this quilt come together! You can use your scraps, bust into your fabric stash or use this class as an excuse to buy more fabric! Pull out some light, medium and dark pieces, and watch how the cubes change. Once you learn the basic cube, the quilt will go together quickly. Taught by the Crazy Stitch'n Red Heads. Class will be held on Saturday, April 17, from 10 to 4:00 pm. Class fee $45.00

See the magic that the long triangle makes in your pieced designs! Learn to cut this formerly hard-to-work-with shape, as well as half-size and pieced triangles, with the AnglePlayTM templates, and sew them together with sharp points every time. Make a number of blocks and get a glimpse of refreshing new ways of putting them together. Breathe new life into the pieced blocks and quilts you love so much! Book required for class: either Angle Play Blocks or Stunning Angle Play Quilts by Margaret J. Miller Class will be held Saturday, May 1, from 10-4.

Strips & Curves Class
Curves scare you? This class is the cure!

It's easy and fun. This is a new spin on strip piecing -you will expand your understanding of composition as you create your own design!! There are many possibilities - make a wall hanging, table runner or full size quilt. No two quilts will come out looking the same. Join the Crazy Stitch'n Red Heads and expand your horizons! This class will be held on Saturday, May 8 from 10 to 4:30. The technique is based on the book “Strips and Curves” which is required for class. Class fee $45.00

“Adventures in Circles” Who doesn’t like working with Batiks? Pick one for your background fabric with lots of colors, so you will have lots of colors to use for the circles Then with the fast fuse appliqué your quilt comes together very quickly Taught by the Crazy Stitch’n Red heads. This class will be held on Saturday June 19, from 10 to 4:30. Class fee $45.00.

Jacque is now offering long arm quilting classes. Any who are interested in renting time on our AVANTE (Handi Quilter’s new 18” throat quilting machine) will be required to take the class first. You will learn the basics; how to load the machine and general operation, etc... Class is $75, and can be taught to one student, and is limited to two students at a time. Fabric Painting Workshop Barb Schultz will be your fearless leader into the world of fabric painting, coloring, dyeing, faux finishing, special effects and - in short - just about anything else you can think of to alter fabric! This workshop will start up again on the first Sunday of May (May 2) from 1-4pm. Please note - the date has changed Check back for more details.

Open Sewing On Wednesdays Drop in on any Wednesday between noon and 5:00 pm and join Cynthia Keim and friends. Bring your project, whatever it may be, and enjoy the association of quilters who love what they do.

U.F.O. Night Is the 3rd Friday night of each month. Join us at 6pm, bring a snack (if you wish) and work on your Un-Finished-Object -- that project you just can’t seem to finish, while having a

great time with quilters in the same boat. We’ll see just how late we can stay up to get the job done. The ‘fee’ is a $5 donation to our favorite local dog rescue organization K.A.R.E. Please call the shop to let us know if you’re interested in coming, if we don’t hear from anyone we cancel -- so be sure to let us know!
