Cynthia is a native Californian who spent her life moving north. She trained and showed her horses in San Juan Capistrano and earned her Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry in San Luis Obispo. She went on to Berkeley where she managed the U.C. Berkeley Biochemistry Department, teaching labs for 8 years. Her next move was to Corvallis, Oregon. There, at Oregon State University, she worked as a research assistant until she retired due to a medical disability. Cynthia began quilting in 1992, and now calls Kingston, Washington her home.

Cynthia has received many awards for her work, including Viewer’s Choice,Best Machine Quilting, Best Use of Color, Most Creative, and Best of Show.
Surrounded by her garden, nature, fabric, fiber, and family, she finds the inspiration and serenity to create her quilt and fiber art.

	Cynthia invites you to join her at the Kingston Quilt Shop every Wednesday from noon to 3 pm. Cynthia is happy to share her wealth of knowledge and skill. Bring any project you would like to work on. This is an informal gathering, free of charge.
